Karla Padilla is a Registered Nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and Leadership from Texas Christian University — and a career that has taken her from the intensive care floors of Chicago-area hospitals to the regulatory and clinical operations teams of one of the world's leading medical device companies.
A graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with dual degrees in Chemistry and Spanish, Karla began her clinical journey as an ophthalmic technician before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oak Point University. Her nursing experience spans the ICU, post-surgical care, labor and delivery, pediatrics, and behavioral health — giving her a clinical foundation few aesthetic providers can match. Over eight years at Alcon, she progressed from Medical Complaint Specialist and Ophthalmic Nurse to Manager of MDR and Safety Operations, then to Manager of Global Regulatory Affairs, and most recently to Clinical Operations Lead — building deep expertise in patient safety, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based care at a global scale.
At Altevé, Karla brings that same rigor to aesthetic medicine. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, individualized treatment plans, and deeply compassionate approach, she believes that natural-looking results begin with truly understanding the person behind the face. Her goal is simple: to help every client leave feeling like the most confident, refreshed version of themselves.

Dr. Diane Brown is a physician, Master's-prepared Registered Nurse, and the clinical backbone of Altevé Aesthetics. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad de Oriente in Cuba, where she practiced as a Medical Doctor for seven years before expanding her clinical reach to the United States — adding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Spalding University and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and Leadership from Texas Christian University.
Her career is a study in clinical breadth and rigor. After a decade-plus as a Clinical Instructor and Quality Assurance specialist in medical optics, Dr. Brown joined Alcon in Fort Worth — the same company where she would later connect with Karla Padilla. Over seven years, she rose from Quality Assurance Medical Complaints Specialist and Pharmacovigilance expert to Principal II in Patient Safety, Quality & Pharmacovigilance — maintaining a 98% compliance rate, reducing safety incidents by up to 40%, and supporting data integrity across more than 530,000 cases monthly.
As Medical Director of Altevé, Dr. Brown provides the physician oversight, treatment protocol standards, and safety framework that elevate Altevé above every other med spa in the DFW market. Her presence ensures that every service offered meets the most stringent clinical standards — and that every client is in truly exceptional hands.

How Altevé began
Karla and Diane didn't just cross paths at Alcon — they found a shared mission. Both earned their Master of Science in Nursing Administration and Leadership from Texas Christian University right here in Fort Worth, while building careers defined by clinical rigor, regulatory precision, and an uncompromising commitment to patient safety.
When they looked at the DFW med spa landscape, they saw a gap: plenty of options, but none that brought the evidence-based discipline of a regulated medical environment to a truly elevated aesthetic experience.
